Description:
The sewage treatment works (STW) at Bellozanne is vital to the island in minimising the impact of waste on the environment. As part of ongoing maintenance, the sludge treatment processors were replaced with new facilities comprising sludge thickening, storage, digestion and stabilisation and dewatering plant.
An industrial plant of this scale requires stringent health and safety measures incorporated into its design. In our role as Health and Safety Project Coordinator we ensured that the works remained compliant with the requirements of the ‘Management in Construction (Jersey) Regulations 2016’.
